Edit to add: I agree with others that said... beat the coating off if it, talk dirty to it etc... then send it to Ban.

It's my office, I'm an accountant by day and INFI Junky by night... and well sometimes by day... and maybe right after lunch... and mid afternoon is great too. I got a problem guys.

That's what Jerry needs to do next... make a coating out of some kind of Scotch hard candy... That way you can just lick the blade (Staying away from the edge mind you) and keep a buzz all day long.

DB... weren't you the one that posted the pics of you abusing an AK on a camping trip or something? I remember the pics... i swore it was you... Great times... Killing trees. I hate trees... I swear those bastards are stalking me.
 
After looking at the steel under the coating... I think that black undercoat is something like parkerizing. It doesn't look like another coat... almost looks like an AR-15 barrel. Anyone know if Busse is Parkerizing the blades now under the coating?

Ban is a member here, who mods and makes knives. You can contact him through the Forums PM email/PM system. I have heard he has quite a backlog. Keep in mind that a Ban-ned blade will not have the Busse warranty any longer, but as INFI is nearly bulletproof, his customers are comfortable owning their own warranty.

I wouldn't be comfortable knowing the warranty is voided, especially if I dropped 1100 bones on the blade. I say leave it coated and let it gain some character.

I don't think stripping the coating will void the warranty on the blade. I'm sure it voids the warranty on the coating LOL.

He was referring to getting it Banned, stripping it will not void the warranty.
