If this thread was called "my new baby"......thats what i was gonna call it, this would be the "after birth".....:barf:

Not sure, she hasn't let me get past second base yet, .....you know cant plug it in'er till after i read the manual...lol

Very nice.

Who is the manufacturer?

Why is the chassis split into 3 pieces (connected with joining plates)?

ya its a sugar creek IND kiln, its a pita to unpack.

looks good man, it makes all the difference with your ht. I noticed a huge leap in performance after I got mine.

Now I wish I would have go the one with the pyro meter. does anyone know if you can just but it and add it on yourself.

Noooo you can't plug her in until you get back from Lowe's with the proper plug :D

I'm just glad you're not in the pictures :barf:

Well im gonna have to wait on that now, because before i could get out the door, my littlest girl decided it was her bed time, thus leaving me to full fill other obligations....owell, it'll be there tomorrow.

Hay Andrew, looks just like the one I got two weeks ago. That thing was a SOB to unpack.Enjoy it buddy. Jerry

Hey Andrew,

What were the reasons you went with Sugar Creek rather than Heat Treat or Paragon?

Thanks, Phil

cost, mainly, it'd cost a fortune to get one from those other 2 suppliers that was the size of this one.

Really i dont think there can be that much different, as long as it gets to temp, and can accuratley hold it. If this will do it, then im just as happy with it as any other. Only time will tell though,

As long as the end result is the same, then I dont feel that it matters how you achieve it, so i opted for the cost factor.......I just hope this isn't one of those ya get what ya pay for deals.

Congrats on the new toy. I was a little dissapointed after seeing the title of your thread though. But she sure is a beauty.

Right on man!! now get to cookin

You think yours was packed tight...,huh.., mine was entirely sealed in foam, thick tough ass foam that took forever to remove.i could have thrown it off a building and it would have survived :)

Wow super nice kiln, and very reasonable prices now that I googled them.
Patrik If you go to their website you can see they sell a smaller kiln that uses less body parts. So its a modular system.
Neat thing about this is you could probably get them to make a longer kiln if you desired one.
Chris

jsaih, yes mine was either $106 or $116 either way, pretty close.

JD, i too am still dissapointed:( after opening the thread...just manly nature i guess.:p

bali, the thick foam...I know all to well, i agree it was a deffinitly a:thumbup: job on safely getting it here.

blindhogg, yes i do believe they offer custom kilns, im sure there's no limit, other than if it's to large shipping safely may be an issue.....oh yeah thats right they have the "foam from hell"...:p
