I purchased a framelock folder from Striper28(Chuck Gedraitis)a little while ago.I was very happy with it-see earlier post"Striped Shark Framelock".I like my folders very easy to close.I know many people are the opposite and worry about accidental closing. The framelock did'nt have a cutout opposite the liner lock and it was a little difficult for me to close.I wrote to Striper28 and told him my concern and asked how much would it cost to make a small cutout on the handle. He told me to send the folder to him and just pay the return shipping. When he got it he told me on closer inspection a cutout would interfere with the Striped Shark picture on the handle. He sugested that recessing the liner from the inside with some added thumb serrations on the bottom of the liner may make closing easier.I said your the knifemaker and would know better than me.BTW he told me he would have to reanodize both handles because recessing or a cutout on the inside of the liner would leave a polished mark.Anyway I got the folder back today and I could'nt be more satisfied. It turned out great. Its easy to close and the anodizing looks the same. All this extra work for a shipping fee.I don't know of many makers that would go out of their way like this. Thanks Striper28
