When I could not get a stripped Benchmade T-6 clip screw out with US or Chinese made bits I ordered a German Wiha brand T-6 driver bit and it backed the screw out like the head was perfect. I think that route cost me $3 shipped.
I can attest to this fix. Thank you poster. I stripped both pocket clip screws with a low quality set of torx drivers and couldn’t get them out with any of the other methods to save my life. I couldn’t cut with a dremel because it was behind the pocket clip. This frustrated me for a couple days, and after much research I listened to this guy. After getting my set of wihas, the stripped screws came out in seconds. If you don’t have a set of wihas just get them, it will save you time, stress and frustration. They are basically the “ snap on” tools of the precision driver world. Now I’m confident I can enjoy taking my other knives apart, for cleaning and what not. So happy I didn’t have to end up sending my knife for warranty service.
