This KZII started life with black coating and hand-smoothed tan canvas handles. I stripped the coating, then started trying to clean up the decarb and dimples by hand, which proved to be too much. I sent it off to Bark River who reprofiled the blade down to a zero-grind convex. I did some more hand sanding and sharpening myself when I got it back from BRKT to get the profile to where I wanted it. NOTE: Between the hand sanding and sharpening, and the kydex sheath, this is NOT a safe queen satin. This is a user.

The included sheath is a Buy Brown open spine with teklok, which cost $80.

I left the coating around the handle and butt for corrosion protection. If you want those removed, I can throw some stripper on it and remove the coating before I ship it off. I'll leave the sanding and cleanup to you, though. ;)

I wanna get this thing sold... I'll take $500 shipped CONUS and paypal'd. You must be 18, and be legally allowed to own this by your local laws.

I will consider trades/partial trades, but I'm more interested in selling outright. Specifically interested in another CABS as a partial trade.

Send a PM if interested.

The scuffs that are going up and down in that picture are from my hand sharpening to refine the edge more. At some angles you don't see them, at some they're all along the edge. It's hard to photograph them, and that was the only photo they showed up in.

The lengthwise scuff is one of a few that I can only explain as kydex rubs, or something got between the cardboard and the blade when it was shipped back to me. They are present on both sides, but none are all that deep. They could be easily taken care of with some scotchbright pads, but I figured I'd leave it alone for now.

I think he's talking about where it looks like you took a hacksaw to the edge perpendicularly.

Is that just the picture angle?

me thinks the edge is simply biting into the towel. What looks nasty is fabric above the edge.

Of course, that now seems obvious in hindsight. <doh>

I certainly did not mean to imply that Skrapmetal was foisting some ugly edged thing off on a buyer. Since he knew that the edge was perfect, it certainly did not occur to him that it might look funky to someone else.

Congrats to Dennis, I'd say he scored a screaming deal.
