I decided to strip my new Busse and polish it up.
I did so all by hand with no tools or paint thinner.
Below I have included some pics for your viewing pleasure!

How long did it take by your method? And how was it done? Thanks...T

Sorry I wrote "no tools", which was supposed to be no POWER tools.
I used a razor blade to strip the coating, and was careful not to scratch it, although the INFI is much tougher that the razor blade. Then I used a course scotch bright pad, and the went over it with a fine one about 500 times (lol)
It took roughly 3 hours...

Are you thinking about stripping one of yours?

I must say that the steel was flawless from Busse. I heard some complaints about pitting/dimples from other people who did theirs, but this blade did not have a single dimple on it

The flat ground busses generally only have dimples where the blade hasn't been ground just in front of the handle slabs. Saber ground strippers can be pretty rough though.

Nice work and the dimples aren't bad even if they are there. Yours turned out nice and glad it was smooth for you.

Thanks everyone. I'm like a pack-rat, there is something that draws me to shinny things :) although I do really like the black coatings

Yeah thanks. I still have a couple spots that could use some fine polishing. I just thought I'd wait until the skin grew back on my fingers :)

Thanks Will. I dulled the blade quite a bit and am horrible at sharpening knives, so I have YouTube and an old kitchen knife-- we'll see what happens. My guess is 3 stitches lol

Thanks man-- it took a lot if rubbing. I haven't rubbed that much since I was stood-up on prom night :)

Now THAT is three hours well spent! :)
She looks GREAT!!!

Congratulations!!!!!
