I got a good deal from a forum member on a Chopweiler user, & decided to strip and blast it!! I really like the raw, kind of industrial look of the steel. Been keeping a real light coat of oil on it to protect the blade. Here's some pics along w/ the sheath Dave made for me.

Which stripper or other process did you guys use to remove the coating?

That's really good looking.

Can you give us the details on the blast process you used?

Here's what I used. I stripped it twice w/ the chemical stripper, then went to blasting with fine glass bead blast media (Grainger #2W766).

AFAIK, the Busse shop process uses an abrasive grit first, followed by the glass bead blast to smooth/seal the surface.

Looking good! I forced a mustard patina on my M9LE and it seems to slow, or at least hide, any rusting.
