stripped my screw and cant get a hold of crk -- HELP

Ya that pocket clip screw is a sucker.

I was going to take it off to carry it clipless and when I went to remove it, it would hardly turn and it started to round out. I just left it be and its partly rounded out now. Not to worried about it atm.

honestly, I wish all companies had such customer service, I strongly believe in such services because it gives me confidence in buying a knife. For example, i have a microtech and i'm planning on buying a socom elite, but i'm a bit reluctant due to the fact that people claim their customer service is kinda laking. It just gives me confidence that such an awesome craftsman has my back should I ever mess up.

yes, Crks' customer service is outstanding!
i also had trouble taking off my umnum pocket clip. I stripped it completely and sent them an email because of it.
they immediately said they would send me a replacement screw with no questions asked!
they are unbelievable and i can only say good things about them.

they replied to me and i tought i'd share their reply because it really shows how concerned they are with their customers. I wish there were more manufacturers like this!

"I have spoken with Chris and showed him the picture you sent and unfortunately we will need you to send the knife back to us. I have attached some information about sending your knife into our shop. If you have any questions please let me know.

We will need to drill out the screw and we have the specialty tools to remove them properly. We apologize for this inconvenience and we will refund your shipping costs. We would also like to send you a free t-shirt if you will please provide us with your shirt size.

Are you planning on carrying your Mnandi with or without the clip? Because we can also send your knife back to you with a clip replacement screw if you do not intend to carry the knife with the clip attached.

Again please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Angela"

Awesome:thumbup:

I've long said CRK has the best CS in the buisness, and your post is just more proof of that.
I've only had to send one back that had developed a slightly sticky lock, and they sent it back perfect. It was ten years old.

I sent a NEW knife back to another popular manufactor this year with a very sticky lock, and it just came back with a note saying it was within spec.

So wait, you screw up your knife, they fix it for free, refund your shippng, and send you a free t-shirt?
