Never posted over here before but I saw this and thought I would show mine. I just removed the coating on the main blade section and left it on the handle. Didn't require a lot of work like my Becker. Mine was 1095. I just used sandpaper on mine. I went ahead and attached my Becker picture for reference. The TAK was much nicer under the finish. I hate the black finish on any of my knives.
Here's my TAK. Just used various sandpapers. Looks better than the pic.
This was the process for the Becker. Heavy duty paint remover and lots of sanding.

Yet another one. Brizuch, not trying to be a jackass, but would you check the date on the threads you post in? It happens (I've done it before myself) and I take it most of them were found via a search or by going WAAAAY back in the pages. You've revived several threads from and dead and it's bumping current threads back.
