Stripped pocket clip screw

I have had issues like this with a few recent production CRK's. The clip hole doesn't align perfectly with the threaded hole in the knife and puts a lot of lateral tension on the screw as it goes in. The best remedy I have found is to slightly open the hole in the clip with a dremel and then reinstall the clip with a brand new screw. This has worked every time for me!

I have found this to be the case myself as far as the alignment of the clip hole and the frame hole. It isn't much on my Sebenza, but just enough that it does flatten the screw threads to some degree. After noticing this on my first Sebenza I have since been especially careful when working with the pocket clips. I haven't had to open the clip hole as yet but having an extra screw or two on hand is a good thing.

When re-installing the clip I find that the exact same procedure as given by kaosu04, (see post #11 here), does the job. Good advice.

Damn... They shipped the screw in a bag in an envelope and both the bag and envelope got worn through and the screw fell out. Kind of upset as I was hopin to have the sebby back in service!

Well. They're sending out another in today's mail. Hopefully USPS doesn't steal this one too. Talked to heather.

My plan is to put the screw through the clip so the clip is touching the screw head, then screw it down into the knife as far as I can without damaging anything.

I got my sticker with the screw that came out of the envelope. They used a padded envelope this time. Knife is back in my pocket. :-) feels good to use it again.
