If the head of the screw is too far gone then you will have to drill it out or cut a slot in it to accept a flat head screw driver. If it isn't too badly damaged then I would try heat + a larger torx bit (i.e. if the torx size is T6 then try a T8).
I suspect the head got stripped because of loc-tite or a micro-encapsulated screw. If this is the case the the screw needs to be heated in some form or fashion to loosen the bond the loc-tite has established. Then proceed with the extraction processes noted above.
I have no clue why ive never thought of that! The pocket clip screws on my tenacious have been stripped (imagine that) and Ive been wanting to get them out. Im gonna try that
