• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Stripped Screws

Hey guys, how you do you get stripped screws out of your knives?

If the head of the screw is too far gone then you will have to drill it out or cut a slot in it to accept a flat head screw driver. If it isn't too badly damaged then I would try heat + a larger torx bit (i.e. if the torx size is T6 then try a T8).
I suspect the head got stripped because of loc-tite or a micro-encapsulated screw. If this is the case the the screw needs to be heated in some form or fashion to loosen the bond the loc-tite has established. Then proceed with the extraction processes noted above.

Good luck!

I have no clue why ive never thought of that! The pocket clip screws on my tenacious have been stripped (imagine that) and Ive been wanting to get them out. Im gonna try that
