Hello, I recently purchased a spyderco tenaciuos and I love it but the only problem is that I wanted to move the clip form tip down to tip up carry. When I tried to remove the little skrews, one skrew was overly tightened and I stripped the skrew it is impossible to take the skrew off. So now I got 2skrews off but one is stuck on. Is there anything I can do? Any help will be great.

Try to heat the screw with a soldering rod or something similar (softens the screw retention). Hope it works :)

Sounds like you messed up the head of the Torx screw. If that's the case, you could cut a slot in the head with a Dremel or thin file and try unscrewing it with a regular screwdriver. Alternative would be to use a small Vise-Grip type pliers to grasp the screw head and turn it. Either way, you'll need a new screw.

You're going to need a new screw there. The key to TORX screws it to make sure you've got the right size. Sometimes the bit will seem to "fit" but it's a size too small or so. Some people call it a PITA, I just shrug and pick up a full set of TORX bits and use the largest one the fits.

Yeah, you need to be careful because I almost did the same thing myself and stripped the screw. After I went to Lowe's to pick up a cheap Kobalt 8-in-1 torx kit (which includes the usual T6 & T8 bits), I tried to take off the screws with a T6 torx bit...however, upon further inspection, I realized that the clip screws on the Tenacious take a hex bit (Allen wrench or whatever you want to call it.) The handle's screw are torx but the clip takes the hex...so be careful.

So there you go. Use the hex key. I don't know if it's Metric or English (I just used the vernier caliper and it says the one I used is the 2-mm hex key).

Thanks for the help, I think I'm going to file it down to use a flathead skrewdriver. So Thanks.:):):)

I'm quite sure that even the handle screws on the Tenacious are hex as well, just like the clip, but larger in size. Hold it up side-by-side with a Benchmade and you will clearly see that torx are more star shaped, with edges/lines that are not sratight, like a hex edge/line is.
Hope I don't seem self-righteous. I just want you to get the most out of your Tenacious. Great knife... it's my slumdog millionaire.

Have you tried rotating the clip around the screw to unscrew the screw, I had the same problem with a para. I tried for about 2 hours getting the screw out and then I finally tried turning the clip around the screw.
