Stripped the blade on my Izula

I baby my Izula way too much! I don't carry it any more because the city I work in outlaws ALL fixed blade knives, doesn't matter if it's a butter knife or meant for pulling splinters.

That sucks :/. Where I live people expect you to always have a knife on you, else you get funny looks...

Nice job,
You've made a good looking knife look even better.
:D

Thinking about doing the same thing on mine as well. You don't want to strip the whole thing. I had a Gossman PSK that was a PITA to keep from rusting on the handle.

No point in stripping the top off only to leave the pants on...:D Take it ALL OFF! I am planning the same in the near future and adding handles. The only problem i see creeping up with that is paracord holding water on the handle and supporting rust development.

that is why I would leave the handle coating on. Maybe strip it back a bit further. But with a user that gets lots of pocket time. I guess you could soak the cord in epoxy resin and cut down on the amount of moisture it retains to help stem this.

Thanks again for all the comments everyone. I keep forgetting to take a new pic of it with some patina on it. I also have a nice Kydex sheath that a friend from the Netherlands made for my Izula. I am very grateful. I will post pics of it also! :)
