Other than some grinding lines, the finish looks like a stone washed finish like you would find on a Hinderer or Chris Reeve Sebenza.

I love it.

I might be wrong, and please correct me if so, but I'll bet the dot is from rockwell testing. And you really should post some pics of Candy :D
 
god, don't you know by now not to put a naked BK2 on your vise? you might break your vise :) certainly didn't do your hammer any good ;)

That is a sweet looking blade man. It really does look like a stonewashed finish, and thats sexy as all get up :D

I will probably use a paint stripper for mine as well. Thanks for the pics!
 
I might be wrong, and please correct me if so, but I'll bet the dot is from rockwell testing.

Your prob right, the company I work for has hardness testing equipment and it dings the metal then by the diameter of the ding they gauge the hardness.

Also really makes me want to go ahead and strip mine. But I'm gonna practice on my KA-BAR USMC knife first.
