Stripping Complete. Now it is my Favorite...

Just out of interest whats the deal with blade care for the BK2 now its stripped?

Just a case of light oil from time to time?

All my other stripped knives just need to wiped off after use. If I use them in the kitchen, soap and water than dry. I don't keep oil on any blades. They will over time take on a patina (which you can force if you want) and that acts as a form of protection.

He has another thread where he mentions that he uses a "checkering" file. Never seen one myself, but I will be keeping my eye out for such a thing next time I am at the hardware store.

You won't find a file like that at the Hardware store.
