Stripping the finish from my Ka-Bar Tanto

Very nice. The KA-BAR full size Tanto is definitely underrated. Its a snap cutting beast. Guess I am going to have to get mine out for some photos now...

In the fall of 2005, I was getting everything ready to be deployed to Iraq. One thing I was missing was a good fixed blade. As I shopped around I saw and fell in love with the full sized, partially serrated Ka-Bar tanto. I made my purchase, I think around $60, and was deployed with my unit for 12 months in Hell... er Baghdad. In that time I used my Ka-Bar for any and everything I could think of. After I got out of the Army, I put the ol' girl away. She was in pretty rough condition (don't get in to a knife throwing match with an Iraqi soldier). So, after deliberating and looking at different finishes, I decided on giving her a forced patina.

Why do I feel like I did when I saw the last episode of The Soprano's?
