Stripping: Whole knife or just blade?

If you just want to knock down the texture, it wears down pretty good with wet heat. I just use a washcloth and my sink water is hot enough. It doesn't need to be boiling or anything.

It will still be a lot rougher than duracoat, but it will feel pretty smooth and clean a lot easier.

Thanks BIGGHOSS , that textured coating they're using has got to go !! I could have lived with a simple smooth duracoat or some such but the textured stuff is a nightmare to get clean and is rough enough to use as a nail file . ....

On the plus side it strips off easy almost like a skin. At least with the stuff I used.
