Stripping without removing the handles...

I cant get my nmsfno to stick when I throw it...ish is too heavy to throw well it seems...

It takes a while to get the rythem down, the rear talon hole gets in the way a bit. But after you get it to stick a couple times you don't have nearly as much trouble with it.

I bought some stripper (can't remember the name). I used it to strip my G10 pumpkin SS, and seriously, it did affect the scales. They turned all whitish, and the outer layer of epoxy in the handle was gone. The very outer layer was brittle. I left the stuff on for the time the directions said, no longer (like 15 minutes).

I used the same stripper on my CG ash1 with black canvas micarta with no issues at all, so go figure.

Curious. As you see in the pic above, I stripped a Pumpkin SAR5, with no ill effect to the G10. Other people have reported results similar to yours.

The whitish look on the G10 after stripping is just where it is a little dried out. Add a little oil from your skin or another source and it all goes back to normal. ;) Happened to me with all 8 G10 blades I have stripped, but I never noticed any difference in strength or durability as G10/micarta are both always easy to scratch with sharp objects like barbed wire or dent when impacted by rocks, etc. It looks similar when you sand it down some too, same treatment yields same results.
