Strongest Folders with a 3" blade length?

If it has to be under 3" then go for the Small Sebi or the Camillus EDC in 154CM! Both frame locks and tough as old boots!

If you're planning on losing another one in a bar, either come drinking with me or get something cheaper than a Sebenza. :D

I just checked and Smoky Mountain (www.eknifeworks.com) seems to be out of stock, but if you can find one I would recommend the Spyderco G10 Rookie. The blade is the same size as the Delica, but the hump is lower profile and the handle is smaller, making for an efficient design of the most blade you can fit in a small knife. G10 scales and one steel liner make it very stout. You can also try the G10 Standard, but check the blade length first.

LOL :) Yeah, this was the first knife I've lost. I was not a happy camper. Hopefully whoever has it now takes good care of it, but I doubt it.

If you're looking for a seriously tough sub 3" blade, and don't feel like shelling out $$ for a sebenza, you might consider a Spyderco Pro Venator (w/SS handle). It's bomb - proof.

The CR small Sebenza and the BM705 are the two finest production folding knives in existence in my humblest of opinions. You've got the most wear resistent and brute-strong locking mechs on smaller knives, and both are right around 2.9" in blade length. My personal preference is the 705, but either knife will do you right.

Guys, How expensive should a knife be for using at work?? It's true a small sebenza is a fine knife
but I'd be very reluctant to carry any knife that expensive to work. Most of the other knives mentioned
are also in the "expensive" catagory. That's what makes the Buck 112 a more practical choice. Great
"lttle" knife that is as strong a any folding knife can be with a exceptional garrantee to back it up.
In other words....a just right work knife. If buying at retail is to high look on e-bay for one they go
fairly cheap. and you still get the garrantee!! There is also ease of sharpening to consider. Cutting
quantities of cardborad will dull most blades quickly. If done everyday then quick touch is almost
a requirement. The steel used in the Buck 112 ,while not the most hi-tech, will sharpen very quickly.

The first choice that comes to mind is also the most obvious, the small Sebenza. I think that the Mini Emerson CQC7B is also a very tough knife, but I had problems with the lockup on mine (within 2 weeks of use) and will be sending it back within the week. I really like the looks and feel of the Buck Mini-Strider. However, I think that alot of people are turned off by the width of this thing. Personally, even though I know how tough the Sebenza is, I would use the Strider first. I would hate to hurt the Sebbie.
Good luck,
Matt

One really sturdy sub 3" knife, with very RELIABLE and strong linerlock, is the Spyderco's Wegner Jr.
