strongest plastic lockback

Buy a spydie endura and try to break it.[/QUOTE]
At a delivery I made in KC,Mo the lift driver had an Endura that he had worn out to the point it would not lock open at all. But it was sure sharp! The knife had been through alot and was still his favorite. We dicussed options and I gave him a list of sites to replace it. Money was an issue at that point for him. It was a great testament about the durability of the Endura.

At least he didn't try to send it back to Spyderco for warranty replacement. :D I know, it sounds crazy, but there was a thread on the SC forum a while back where a guy wore out a G10 Harpy like that and he was pissed because Sal told him it had reached the end of it's servicable life. It seems some people think "wore out" should be covered by warranty. Go figure. :)

Warranty had never entered his mind. I dug up Spyderco's number for him to contact them about a refurb options if offered. I dont know if they do refurb work like that.If nothing else, he needed to send it to Sal to show how well it does hold up.

Can't say about other FRN knives, but I do have a few Spydercos (Delica, Endura, Native, Calypso jr.) and all seem pretty strong to me. It is true that I usually use them for cutting and I don't abuse them (except for my SE Delica, this one was heavily used and abused. After a few years still is my very EDC).
I think that the strongest would be the Native, it has a thick blade (3 mm) and is smaller than the Endura, so there's less stress on the knive.
