Stropping A Busse?

I am new to the extreme sharpening world. I own a few Busse's and plan to own more. With the special edge I find that a lot of people are having a hard time sharpening them. When Stropping what kind of strop should be used and especially for a Busse knife and what kind of compunds do I need and where can I find them. In which direction should the blade be moved aross it. Should I take the blade edge forward and wisk it across the strop. Or should I pull the blade across the strop edge trailing?

You always want to strop edge trailing because, among other things, you'll cut into the leather if you don't. As far as what kind of compound any woodworking store or site should have stropping compound. Try Lee Valley Tools (they're on line) that's where I get my strop from and what I use on my Busses. Hope this helps.
