I have to say I LOVE MY BUSSE. but I can't say I love the factory edge. I am going to have to do something about it. It feels sharp but... it doesn't seem sharp. It have a Mean street with the BIG finish.
Take a sharpie marker. Mark the original, factory cutting edge. Start sanding at the point where the cutting edge starts, or shoulder. (Closest to the spine). As you work, the marker should come off with any metal. This will show you exactly where and how much material you are removing. Adjust your technique to take off or leave as much of a shoulder as you desire. The edge geometry is key in a sharp piece of steel.
Good luck.
I use the orange (6 micron), yellow( 3 micron), and finally white (1 micron) when stropping to finish off an edge. Makes it super slicey from no burrs.
