Stropping Infi on leather

I have to say I LOVE MY BUSSE. but I can't say I love the factory edge. I am going to have to do something about it. It feels sharp but... it doesn't seem sharp. It have a Mean street with the BIG finish.

Take a sharpie marker. Mark the original, factory cutting edge. Start sanding at the point where the cutting edge starts, or shoulder. (Closest to the spine). As you work, the marker should come off with any metal. This will show you exactly where and how much material you are removing. Adjust your technique to take off or leave as much of a shoulder as you desire. The edge geometry is key in a sharp piece of steel.

Good luck.

I use the orange (6 micron), yellow( 3 micron), and finally white (1 micron) when stropping to finish off an edge. Makes it super slicey from no burrs.

Thanks in am definitely looking forward to perfecting. When you say micron.. isn't hat the compounds grit?

Just got my flexxx strop pocket strop in Friday. And can I just say, very nice. Great product. And Scott over there at USAMADEBLADES.COM was very helpful and speedy shipping.

About 1/8 of my edge rolled over on my mean street. I need to find a way to unroll it. I think I may have to find a porcelain rod. Or I can use the top of my window in my car. That's what a friend of mine told me.
Assuming you do not have a smooth steel knife hone, *maybe* the smooth shaft of a screwdriver would work (if it is harder than INFI).
