I bought this knife from Stuart, and what a knife it is. I just so rarely carry a fixed blade, and this one really needs to be used, because it is amazing. This might be the sharpest knife I have ever handled. Stuart's original posting copy is below:
The trailing point features a subtle swedge, which makes for easy piercing. The bevels have a scratch pattern that is at the same angle as the plunge, while the flats have a horizontal polish, giving the blade a cool contrasting look. Handle is made from blaze orange and black G10 (they line up perfectly), with stainless pins, feels great in the hand with the standard grip as well as a hammer grip. The grind itself is thin towards the edge for high cutting performance...as always! Edge is 30° inclusive, 3 micron, amazingly sharp...as always!
OAL: 8"
Blade: 3.5"
Handle: 4.5"
Steel: AEB-L @ 63HRC (Peter's Heat Treating Service), with cryo
Steel thickness: 0.063" at ricasso, tapered to point
Edge: 15° per side, 3 micron
I have only carried the knife once, so it might as well be new from Stuart. I paid $160 for the knife by itself, and am including a leather sheath, so the shipped price now $150. I do USPS Priority to CONUS, and I take Venmo and Paypal.
Thanks!
