Stuart Mitchell "Survival Knife" Prototype (Pic Heavy)

As of end of this month (or thereabouts) I'll be in the US on a permanent basis.
Will be happy to organize a passaround for a week's play with one of these if there is any interest?

Very nice, good looking knife. Out of the "ordinary".
Would you include Canadians in the passaround? If so, I would be interested for sure.

Hi folks, US and Canada should be fine. I've never done a passaround on this forum before but I'd want to make sure I get the knife back, preferably in one piece...
If you're not a member here and I don't know you, I'd say 1000+ posts minimum. That sound fair?

Sounds fair enough to me and thanks for including Canadians.

He's updating it I think, but here is the link:

Sorry but I had to remove the link. This kind of promotion can only happen if the person has a knifemaker membership. Mr. Mitchell's work looks great and I'm sure many would like to see more of it. We'd love to have him as a member (knifemaker) here as I'm sure his work would be well received.

My apologies Jason, did not mean to overstep the boundaries... Just to be clear, I am in no way affiliated with the maker nor do I stand to profit from showing off his wares :greedy_dollars:

I didn't think you were intentionally doing anything wrong. :) This is a great review you've done...we need more just like this. Thanks!

Hi Jason, that is only fair and in all honesty I have been threatening myself with 'properly' joining up and posting more for some time now, you just gave me the spur I needed :)

If I have done it correctly, knowing me and computers there is no guarantee, I think I should now have Knifemaker membership?

I'll see you around :)

You are correct sir.....all you have to do now is follow this link and select the correct group. You'll show up as orange then.

Just want to say Stu Mitchell makes some of the best knives I've ever seen and I've put my money where my mouth is and ordered one!

If I had the dough, I'd be all over a package like this. I'm in for a passaround if one occurs.

I'm the happy owner of a knife made by Stuart Mitchell: one of the best of the bunch, if not the best. Just wanted to add this info.

Great initial reviews and follow up pictures. That is a very interesting design, I like the whole package. If this knife can stand up to the wilds of Alaska then I bet it will survive anywhere!
