stubby knives -- whatya got?

Which Subcom did you get? If you haven't gotten it already, I recommend you get the Böker Plus Subcom Titan. Only costs a little more than the standard one, but you get a 440C blade and a titanium framelock and clip.

i have that one :-)

Agree- very cool version of the subcom. The flat profile and wide clip make it handy as a money clip once in a while.

When it comes to a small fixed blade, I really like my Bark River Micro Drop Point. BRKT makes a lot of other small knives too.

Spyderco AMBITIOUS! Exceedingly useful, extremely ergonomic and strong with G-10 scales, ph. bronze bushings, strong liner; Flicks open (if you know the trick :) and close 1 handed. One of the most functional knives in production.

I really like Gene Ingram's pocket fixed blades. Don't have one yet, but some day soon I mean to get one.
Charles May also makes some similar knives, which are also really nice.
Some examples...

CRKT Graham folding Stubby Razel
CRKT Shrimp
Condor 2" Bushcraft knife (my favorite knife these days!)
Benchmade 211 Activator
Boker Plus Gnome
etc, etc, etc, etc, etc....... I like me my shorties!

BTW, they say a big knife is overcompensating for something else, so is a stubby undercompensating for the same??? Man, I hope so!

Gerber had (still has?) a model called the Fatty...

(Not my images.)

No idea if the knife is any good, as the last time I saw one was about four years ago in Wal-Mart.
