I recently sent my strider to get the lockbar carbidized and when I got it back the pivot was so tight that I cant take the knife apart. The guy I sent it to says he didnt put any loctite on it just gave it a good turn. Any ideas on how to loosen up the pivot?

Get a pivot tool and the proper allen wrench... You can even make a pivot tool using a washer and a Dremel. If it's got some Loctite on it, hit that thing with a soldering iron for a few seconds to loosen up the Loctite.

I shove the tip of my soldering iron into the pivot screw hole. My iron's tip is thin enough that it stays there by itself. Then I give it at least a few minutes to heat up the entire pivot assembly. With that trick I have been able to loosen any loctite bond (so far at least).
