I wish I had half the good ideas and half the organizational skills as you Bushman.

Wonderful, wonderful stuff!!

Good stuff Bushman. Soon or later, your dentist is going to catch-on about where all his guaze went to - then he's going to poke ya good :D :D

great looking kit bushman... i need to pick up some of that dental gauze...:)

thats sweet man, I never thought of a paint can, you could easily boil water and everthing with that, nice setup.

Btw, love the shots, that first pic is awesome with the extra gear:thumbup: very pleasing to the eye, awesome!

nice kit, with a few mods that can would make an excellent wood stove for your ti cup.

That's a cool bit of kit! Do you chunk that thing around in a pack or you have that for a vehicle?

I would not use that can for preparing food, as it has the dark coloured coating inside.
I would either use a can with no lining or the "gold" colour lining used in food cans.
Just my 2 cents, other then that it looks like a fine idea

yea this one is coated.....no cooking, just storage

you can get empty paint cans for storage use at any decent paint store. painters often get em for mixing custom colors or for leaving extra paint at clients.

Don, its pretty light, i can chuck it into the pack for winter hikes, nice to have tons of fire starting stuff in our weather clime here. My truck fire kit for camping is :D much bigger and stored in a (what else) Pelican 1400 case :D

love the Emerson, the A100 is one hell of a bushcraft folder. Its a modified V grind, some call it a chisel grind. It works very well and is very sharp, I stropped it with a leather strop and diamond paste.

I would love it if Emerson made a Super A1-00, wink wink....

Home Depot-Lowe's- any paint store-the lining is Teflon? to keep paint from sticking-it will mess up char cloth unless removed.

oh great! jeez Bushman, I haven't bought a high end folder since my Sebbie, now I have to!

great looking kit!

might think about adding a flare to it, the most extreme fire starter ever!

I just don't think you can carry too much firestarting stuff. Three or four different ways to make fire and three or four different types of tinder in relatively large amounts. 8-)
