The recurring theme of this forum is the kindness and generosity that exhibits itself time and again. This time Stuart (
D
Duckdog
) has outdone himself.
Last year he posted a photo of a most unusual knife. It sent me on a search that came up empty. A year later when he posted it again I mentioned that I would sure love to be able to acquire it if he was willing. Believe it or not he had a second one in its original box with the sheath and catalog enclosure and might consider letting it go.
Well, with a recent birthday I again asked if he would consider selling one so I could buy myself a present. Without hesitation he sent it to me as a gift. What a treasure, both Stuart and the knife.
It is an Olsen model 511 lockback folding knife with a 2.25" blade and a 3.75" brass body with stag scales. Tang stamped with Olsen OK, H.C. MI. 511. With original leather sheath with the Olsen OK snap. Made in Howard City, MI., circa 1970's.
