I have 10 blocks of curly Claro Walnut. Exhibition, Premium, 5A..........whatever you call them, these are about as good as walnut gets! This is the best walnut I've seen.

Natural, unstabilized. Dry and ready to use. Big solid blocks......no defects. These are only at 120 grit and lightly wiped with oil. Figure is intense, tight and goes all the way through each block. This stuff has Koa-like curl. There is not a bad block in the whole lot. Every single block I would use on my own knives. In fact, it's hard to part with them in a way. :)

Each block is at least 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" x 1 1/8".

$55 each block to your door in the US. I'll take paypal, check or money order (funds must clear prior to shipping.)

Pics show fronts and backs of blocks.

I'm surprised there's no interest in these. This stuff really is as good as walnut gets. The figure is consistent, bold, solid and intense.

Anybody care share their thoughts? :) I thought the price was good for the quality of them.

I'd go down to $45 a block on these, but that's it. There worth that all day long.

Hi John the Stabilizing is a big deal if they where stabilized they would be selling they are very nice blocks 55 would still be at the top end of what they could go for. and I have heard that walnut can be a bit tricky to stabilize that may also be why they are not moving.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback. I think I'll get these professionally stabilized and try again.

These are VERY nice. The pictures still do them no justice.

Walnut is a very sound wood, doesn't move much, hardening oil is all it really needs. Think of all the gun stocks still slick as a whistle

That's what I thought too Chad. I've used some of this with excellent results.

But it does seem, like the other guys mentioned, that stabilizing everything is a big deal, whether it needs it or not. :)
