Stupid question, but gotta ask... Sebenza, life long investment?

If a Sebenza isn't abused, or subject to heavy duty use. Will it out last the original owner? I had a friend tell me that a Sebenza is something that will 'last forever'. But I never thought of any knife being that capable. Curious to see what people think... besides it being a stupid question. haha

If it's not ABUSED or subject to HEAVY DUTY, then nearly any knife will outlast the original owner.
We have slipjoints in museums that date back to the colonial period...and they're still perfectly serviceable.

Everything wears out over time and use. I would bet that a Sebenza would last longer than many knives if subect to the same usage. I mean if you cut heavy carpet for hours a day for many years maybe you could wear out a Sebbie. But with its price I doubt that there is a very large population of people using their Sebs that way. But I think that for most people, yeah the knife should last a lifetime. But then so will a Buck 110 at a fraction of the cost.

I have a few 110's that are over the 30 year mark. However, they are no where near as nice as a Sebbie.
