Hey guys! I'm looking for a new knife for my EDC rotation and I'm having some trouble finding one..

I'm looking for:
  • G10/like handles
  • Decent steel (above AUS8)
  • Pocket clip (preferably deep carry)
  • Sub 3.5" blade

I really wanted to just grab a mini grip but those handles are really putting me off! Am I wrong there? I've gotten spoiled with my Buck Vantage Pro!

Southern Grind Spider Monkey

Honestly mini grips are freaking awesome. I hate 3 inch blades generally, but i love that little knife so much that it doesnt even seem to matter. I honestly really like the handle on the mini, for some reason the lg grip feels cheap to me but the mini just feels solid.

I would take a look at the Spyderco Paramilitary 2 if you want a knife just a tad below 3.5". In fact, Spyderco makes a lot of nice folders below 3.5" with G10, ranging from 3.4" down to 1.95" blades.

Without a budget, type (modern one hand opener or traditional), or blade/lock style, a TON of knives qualify. The first that came to mind for me was an Enzo Birk 75.

What's the budget? What blades have you been carrying and what's making you look for something else? That should help narrow it down.

Spyderco Gayle Bradley, in my opinion, is the best possible value on the market. The new Gayle Bradley 2 is coming soon, and offers the same amazing value.

To the OP...these are the answers we need. We've all been shooting in the dark.

How can you ask for better than a Spyderco PM2?

Wonderful model...and economically priced.

Sorry guys!

I'm looking for something around $100.
I don't really care for the spidey hole deployment method, it's turned me away from them in the past. Though maybe I haven't had a good one.

I carry a buck vantage pro right now and it's wonderful except for the flipper - it definitely wouldn't be described as smooth.

Go to DLTTRADING or BladeHQ and look for CRKT, Kershaw or Boaker knives. Kershaw Leek is a great knife for the price. Lots of sub$100 knives by those makers.
