Hey all!

Well, I've hit a new level of knife addiction now that I've bought my first fixed blade (Boker/Coye Ridgeback). This has me on the hunt for more small-ish fixed blade knives!

I know there's micro fixed blades out there like the Gnome, but that's getting a bit too small for me. I'd like to stay around the same size as the Ridgeback, maybe a LITTLE smaller. Large enough to get 3 fingers on the handle would be nice.

Suggestions & comments are welcome!

Check out the Knifemakers fixed blade exchange some nice blades and good deals.

A good, old fashioned Buck 102 is a nice choice for a truly useful, well designed knife (I have one and it is wonderful). Also, check out the Spyderco Enuff and the Kershaw 1082 Field Knife Hunter (I have one, they are great).

Guardian 3, as above.
LT Wright Patriot
Shannon Carter Urge (I don't have mine, yet; but I'm sure I'll love it)
Bark River Mini Fox River
Swamp Rat Rodent 3
Dozier Personal or Modified Personal

I've been looking at the Fiddleback Forge "Runt" . He is making a production version that looks cool. I have 2 Bark River Mini Canadians and an Izula. I seem to carry the Mini Canadians a lot more than the Izula. They just feel better in my hand and cut like a lazer for general utility work and everyday chores.

Check out L.T. Wright Knives - here's a Patriot (2-1/2" cutting edge, 5-5/8" OAL) next to a SAK Cadet for reference:

Awesome little blade!

I just got a Bark River Bravo Necker 2, I think its blade is right at 3.5". My hands are a little bigger than average, this one has barely enough handle for 4 fingers. I think this is a usable size, something smaller would be harder to use.

The knifemakers for sale forum is going to put a hurting on my wallet. God damn you/thank you, BF.com.

Welcome to the dark side! If you're on a budget, ESEE or Becker. BK24 looks particularly promising at $40 but probably needs a regrind. For more premium options above $100, go to KSF, browse Bark River and have fun! The best part is that even if you aren't buying, the Bark River selection is so insane so you'll enjoy it anyway!

I recommend a Bark River PSK :) I carry one everyday! They also have the SIIIIIIIICK Featherweight Hunter which is a copy of the loveless hunter.
