I'm always torn between carrying a folder or fixed sub 4" EDC. Love carrying my Busse Hack in my back pocket. Folders are always conveinient. Neck knife carries are growing on my but here in Cali if you wear it under your shirt it has to be under 2" blade.

What's your preferential carry style for sub 4" EDC?

For fixed blade Edc it's gotta be my Brous Silent Soldiers, Spydie Street Beat, Spartan knives Enyo. There's so many great choices to carry.

I also like to carry my La Griffe and Le Shark and Spydie Reverse, all excellent SD knives.

Todd Begg Steel Craft Field Marshall-Best folder I have ever owned by far!!!

Strider PR Clip Point-- the only downside is that it's more chippy than Infi. Not to knock the knife, because it's largely my fault. S30V doesn't take too kindly to torture :D

I don't carry fixed blades due to the tricky laws around here, plus there are so many excellent folders that can do most of what a quality fixed blade will do in a more carry friendly size when wearing work/ dress clothes. I have several folders in my carry rotation, but many days I carry my Reeve Sebenza 25 or Benchmade 940 Osborne.

If I'm looking to step it up without breaking the bank, a field grade Bodega is a great choice.

All of the below makers do a great job of standing behind their knives if an issue were ever to arise. If you want something sub 3", a Karroll CAMS is a fantastic option.

If I feel like going all out a Borka or Dalibor are tough to beat.

Swamp Rat Rodent Solution in a deep carry David Brown IWB.

I would really enjoy pocket carry of a Busse Magnum Bear Cub though....Someday I hope.

Sebenza 25, usually. Spyderco Military or PM2 occasionally.
For fixed I have my AMS with me everyday at work. It's a great little knife.

Is the Bodega nearly as good as Jim Skelton makes it out to be? I was going to pick one up off the exchange a few days ago, but a NMFSH called my name instead. I guess I'll just have to live through your pictures until I replenish the fund zmbhntr!

The Wieners and Steel crew got me started on Dalibor a while back when I watched the first few episodes. I'd love to buy one, but I'm waiting on the secondary prices to lower (or for his books to open back up). How is it?

I mostly carry folders, and then mostly Spydies, but carry fixed sometimes. Usually pocket or belt carry. I have a nice 3" blade custom I use the most. I like the Izula too, nice and flat with cord wrapped handle. My BG AMS will see more use once I get a sheath for it.

That Dalibor is so sweet. I'd be in a tux if I was carrying that

I'm not sure how much I really trust Jim's videos anymore. That being said, the Bodega is a pretty great knife. The ceramic IKBS bearings are quite good, and there are a lot of cool touches on the knife that differentiate it from the pack. The lock bar mechanism is very cool and I really like how it's designed. Also, there is a small area after the choil where the blade is not sharpened so you won't accidentally cut yourself if you slip when choking up on the knife (it's still ground to look sharpened, but it forms a wedge so there is no edge, tough to describe but I really like it). Speaking of choking up on the knife, it's an extremely ergonomic knife for doing just that.

My integral Dalibor is a true work of art. It is an overbuilt knife for sure, but it does not feel like a brick in your pocket like a Medford Praetorian Ti, or full custom Chaves Redencion, or a Direware does. The Dalibor is incredibly solid, the action is very smooth and it feels like opening and closing a well lubricated bank vault door. I really hope that he opens up his list again, his direct prices are very much worth the money. Secondary market deals can be found, but the prices are still high for the most part.

I know what you mean. Nowadays I only watch his rambles, if any of his videos at all!
Thanks for telling me why you like it-- that kind of response certainly beats something like "it's great" or "I like it" for a prospective buyer. I get what you mean with the space next to the choil's edge being blunted. Actually, I've seen a few people do that with their Hinderers. I'll definitely take a CF one off of somebody's hands once I sell off a couple of folders that I don't use.

I carry folders on the daily

These are my big three that get carried most often.

Living in Puerto Rico and spending my days in shorts, the Mosier gets carried the most due to it being slimmer and super light compared to my Dalibors. When it's jeans, I rotate through them, offer carrying two (Marine in me says always have an off hand backup jic)

Beautiful Dalibors, Adian. If you and zmbhntr keep this picture posting up, I'm going to end up hurting my wallet very soon. I can't wait until he opens his books again!

Bark River makes some great sub 4" fixed blades.. their 3.8" Gunny is hard to beat, I belt carry a Gunny or Springbok as a hiking companion but also EDC an Adventurer II in a sharpshooter insider pocket sheath. Their Necker II is a stout little convexed drop point.
