To me the sub hilt ring and guard are like a modern interpretation of the classic falling block action on a custom big game rifle. Something like this: Falling Block

Just incredible! I have to ask, how does one make a curved fuller like this?

I'm no Claudio, but one can cut curved fullers with a guide and a handmade fuller cutter. If one has the skill, I think it can be done on a mill, but I would guess Claudio cut this by hand.
