I didn't see a place for tempering or hardening. Hope this forum will do.
I've never used the sub zero procedure on a knife. I'm working on a 440 C blade and would like to try it.
My question is on setting the tank up. Is the blade placed directly in the slurry which is in a steel container capable of submerging the blade fully. The pics I've seen of containers don't look large enough to hold a blade. Is the slurry even necessary? What are the best practice procedures for this? Looking forward to trying this but don't want to mess up. Is pouring denatured alcohol directly on dry ice ok? I'm guessing the other way around not so good. Thanks, Mike
