I have a Subway Bowie. I have not used it a lot, since I view it as a rainy-day knife (LC200N), and it does not rain a lot in Florida in the winter.
The blade is excellent, although at an average BESS score of 266 grams out of the box, it did need sharpening. It cuts very well now. I like the Subway blade much better than the ARK blade, which has too much belly. BTW, the ARK was even duller out of the box - over BESS 400 grams - and harder to sharpen because of the large belly.
The handle is fair. I like the deep finger groove, because small knives can be difficult to hold onto. But the handle just is not very comfortable. I have two MKM Jesper Voxnaes Mikros, with and without scales, that have a smaller handle than the Subway, but the Mikros are more comfortable. The Subway handle is acceptable because I do not expect to put it to heavy use.
The sheath is terrible. It hangs so that the handle is pointed away from the hand that I draw the knife with. There is no room on the sheath for extra grommets to make it hang correctly. At least the knife does not fall out of the sheath like two Bark River neck knives I tried. But I got a good sheath from Eight2Ten, so the Subway is usable, and chicks dig the Eight2Ten sheath (although I am too old and attached to take advantage of that fact). The ARK sheath is much better than Spyderco's Subway sheath.
