I am interested in buying a Sugar Creek kiln and was wondering if anybody here owns one. If so are you satisfied and would you buy it again? Thanks in advance for any and all input.

I've had the large knifemaking kiln from suggar creed for a year now, and I have been very happy with it. I thinks it's a great buy for the price.

i have the large one as well ith the digital settings. it is a great buy.-marekz

I have had the Sugar Creek BKK w/ digital controller for several months now. From what I hear about other kilns (Paragon in particular) the Sugar Creek does take a bit longer to get up to temp... especially stainless temps. I have only worked with 1080 and 1095, so the temps I have been dealing with are around 1500F. It takes about 40 minutes to reach that temp. This doesn't bother me too much as it gives me time to bring my oil up to temp as well, and start my oven preheating for tempering.

Given the price-point, I would definitely buy the Sugar Creek again. However, if cost were not an issue I would likely go for a Paragon... maybe an Evenheat.
