Sugestion for a 2 finger pinch to open

Thanks for your imfo , when I look on line a lot of the photos are of the blade open so it is hard to tell how much of the blade sticks out when closed.

Here's a pic of the spear point #72 closed.

Most folding hunters and large lockbacks can be opened with a pinch. Like the Buck 110 or 51OT Old Timer.

I have not bought anything yet and it is killing me , end of next month is the Badger knife show and I can see and handle everything before I buy it . Will get for sure a GEC #72 single blade lock back , I will try and find a Barlow of some sort a 2 blade easy open folder will have to look around and see what I can find and see what blows my dress up . May run into a small singleblade sunfish , you know the excitement of the hunt.

I saw photos of GEC Blade Forums Knife for 2011 and 2012 , wondering if there was one for 2013.

Yes. As of last month, there were still a few left, but I'm not sure if that's still the case. Here's a link to a thread you can check if you're interested in the 2013 knife. My 2013 is shown below.

Thanks for the forum knife photo and imfo , there are afew available 2012 and 2013 .

Not exactly what most are showing but certainly meets your requirements; may I suggest this Joel Chamblin, Hiker model. It is; 4" closed, has a great and usable blade profile, even though the picture may indicate otherwise, it is very easily pinch able. If you would need to use the nail nick you would find no problem with even the frailest of finger nails. I have Medium to Large hands and can pinch it without issue. I don't know if Joel intended this but the tang geometry is very friendly; about a 3 from closed to 1/2 stop and then a bit firmer. Don't know your budget but you definitely would not be disappointed with this one. This is a very high end maker offering these for what I would call high value. You can see where he has offered these in the Makers For Sale Forum recently. Worth a look!

thanks guys for more photos and imfo , I kind of have it narrowed down to acouple of different models really like the GEC #85 EO even though there are not a lot around . Also like the Gec #72 pattern lockback I was thinking about the spear point but have some concern how wide the package gets I have been told the Lockback has less of a pull then others if that's the case I could go with a trapper type blade if it comes open fairly easy , any comments on the pull would be appreciated .

something you might consider is a buck 112 or a buck 500. approx. 4'' closed. easily pinched open and half the price of a gec 72. they both come with a belt sheath but the 500 is slim enough to carry comfortabley in the pocket. just something to consider.
