I already EDC an izula 2 usually, but want a case knife for the little stuff.

Anyone have a recommendation? or any recommendation against case?

Thank you!

I've been looking at the Case kinfolks mini copperhead pen, Wharncliffe master with a pen blade.

Regards

Robin

Perhaps a swayback jack but I don't have one of those yet.
The mini copperhead is a perfect little knife in my opinion.

i dont know how small you wanna go but a med. stockman or texas jack(both around 3-5/8") is a great choice.

Exactly what I was going to recommend. Either of those would be dinkum.

IMO, any smaller and you don't have enough handle to hang onto to give you proper control of the knife. YMMV.

Check out the CopperLock lockback. Small and slim, single blade. Rides well in the pocket and the blade locks in place. Real sweet especially in stag.

Another vote for the Texas Jack (62032).

Another suggestion would be one of my all time favorites, the Mini Trapper (6207).

Just about the same length as the TJ, but it is a little bigger in hand. It feels like a bigger knife than it is, and disappears in pocket

I don't hear too much about the Pocket Hunter but I like mine. It's about the same size as a Peanut and available in one and two blade versions.

Hard to go wrong with any of the models mentioned!

Another one to consider is the 32087 Pen:

Tin.Man: do you have any preference on number of blades, and on steel type (stainless or carbon)? I love my cv peanut with chestnut bone handles, but the 'nut is too small for some tastes.

I really like the Texas jack for it's decent working size, excellent blade combination and it carries nicely in the pocket.
The Case/Bose swayback jack is nice also, a little smaller than the Texas jack and slightly better fit and finish.
The Canoe also carries nicely but I find neither blade works well for finger nail cleaning.

IMHO, a Case Swayback Jack is one of the best
EDC knives out there! It's small, but big enough
to do anything you need! Has two great blades
and you can get the Chestnut bone in CV!
If you don't want CV they've got more
options in SS! Great little pattern!
Hope this helps out, Good luck.:D

+1 on the peanut. Its been in the line forever and one of the most popular for a reason. If its a bit small, try the Russlock.

I carried a 22087 jack for 30+ years. (3.25"oalc)
Unaware of it in pocket until needed.
A few 1 blade versions out there slimmer than 2 blade pen or jack.
Like the red synthetic w/flag shield or autumn slimline series (2001-03?)
The 62032 mentioned just a tad bigger and lot more choices.
I have a 63032 in edc rotation now.
A lot of folks swear by their SBJ but for some reason they
just don't float my boat.
Guess that's why Case makes a bunch of patterns to choose from.
Good luck w/your search for the 'perfect' EDC.

I've been a fan of the Canoe forever. The Texas Jack has long been on my list though, I'd like to try one out someday.
