Suggest an EDC fixed-blade?

SLCC. I can carry it anywhere comfortably and covertly.

edit...my bad, didn't notice the size nor price requirements. I have a recurve necker by David Mosier, about 3 inch blade, 6 overall, sweet little knife. paid just over 100.

Becker Necker -- another neck knife (blade is 3.25 inches, the whole thing is slighty beyond your 6" limit. this one will last for years in your environs)

Because it's only $52, I'm going to order one right now. When I get payed again on the 29th I'll be gettign a prybar from Peter Atwood. He said he'll be back in stock with the other knife I wanted early 07'.

I've been carrying a fixed blade for EDC for about 4 months now. I never take it off. If my pants are on, I'm carrying the knife. What makes that possible is a horizontal Kydex sheath set up for cross-draw. Mine happens to be a Dozier Arkansas Traveler. His sheaths are the smallest I've been able to find which helpd make them the most comfortable. I know you said about $100 but if you can let go of about $200-$225, you can pick up a nice small Dozier on Ebay and sometimes on the forum. If you do it, you will not regret it.

However, if that is not possible, the horizontal Kydex sheath, IMO, is still what makes a small fixed blade a great EDC. I wish I'd discovered this years ago. Yes, I still sometimes grab a folder when I go for out for the day but I still have the FB on.

OK, enough of the "soap box". Add another $25 and this is one recommendation. Don't know what size you are looking for, however.

Another is the Tops Blue Otter. The link is from the Tops site so you can find them for less. Tops has many knives that might do the trick. Click on the small picture to see the sheath. Can be setup for horizontal. Just about any Kydex sheath can be set up for horizontal if you buy a Tek-Lok and drill a hole or two in the sheath.
