suggestion for tac knives?

Spend the money and get the CRKT FE9. Best tactical design on the market right now IMO. Or you could try to get a real flesh eater from Jim Hammond himself but thats gonna run you like $1000 and probably has a long wait. The CRKT is sick though.

By "bowie knife" I'm assuming you mean a big knife that could potentially fit a bowie description, in which case the KA-BAR Big Brother comes to mind. It's hard to go wrong with a KA-BAR. Their 1095 steel takes just about anything you can throw at it. I've had a USMC KA-BAR since I was 9 years old (23 now) and it still functions flawlessly despite being a little worse for wear.

Combat knife is very much open for debate and depends entirely on what you're planning on using it for. Some off the top of my head are the Blackhawk Tatang and Nightedge, Gerber LMF II, standard KA-BAR, SOG Seal, and both Strider and Spartan make good knives but they're fairly expensive.

I don't know much about daggers but Gerber has their Mark II which is supposedly well respected in the "operator" community. 420HC steel is meh, but it's a fucking dagger. Its purpose is to be used for stabbing people. When you need it you need it, but it's not like it's going to see a whole lot of use, if any.

Okay i'm done with trying to get custom knives for the next few decades...

Check out the forum section called, "For Sale By Maker." Hundreds of custom knives for sale now. You'll have them in-hand in a week or less.
Whether you want a black plastic tactical knife for fighting invisible ninjas, a gentleman's pocketknife for the country club, or a cowboy's Bowie knife for riding the open range... you'll find it in For Sale By Maker.

You could get a Buck 120 General :)
If someone came after me with one, I would run the opposite direction very very quickly ;)

7 3/4" blade and sharp enough to shave my face.
Pointy tip for being stabby.
Long enough and weighty enough at 10.9 oz to be choppy.
Very good for slicing too.
And since it is shiny, you could blind them with the reflection of light from the blade first :p

BK7, but that may be a little big to lug around in a city setting, and probably pretty obvious to most people too lol. OR the Spyderco Street Bowie, thats what I carry. Or Jason Brous Triple Threat all blacked out.

Ontario SP5. They just re-released it. Wonderful balance on it.

I love my ZT 0121. It's an excellent sharpened brick, suitable for some light prying, outstanding as a makeshift hammer:thumbup:.

I do feel the black blade is worthless simply because any edge on my knives will eventually be so well polished that you'll see the flash off the mirror edge from a mile away.

That said, get yourself a nice Buck 120 in the cocobola dymondwood handles and just call it a day:thumbup:.
