Due to the incident that recently occured to me (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=177620)

I believe it is very wise for forum moderator to make a generic set of rules for trading or buying knives. Therefore, misunderstanding can be reduced.

The governments of the world have already done that, and it's beyond even a super moderator's powers to overrule the law.

Aside from the US Laws in place this topic has been exhaustively covered here. Just need to spend some time searching and learning.

The bottom line is 'communication'. You need to commit to a sincere attempt at proper communication to keep from having misunderstandings/mistakes/forgetfullness/whatever.

When in doubt, send email and ask questions or give additional information.
