I have about a dozen Bark River fixed blade knives that I would like to have rehandled and I would be grateful for any recommendations of knifemakers or even talented hobbyists who could make and attach new scales to them.

Here are photos of a couple examples:

I already have had some tiger maple professionally stabilized by K&G. I also picked out some cool mosaic pins:

I posted a link over on the Wanted:Knifemaker forum, but unfortunately it hasn't gotten a lot of attention:

If anyone sees this and has suggestions about who I might contact for this kind of project, I would be glad to hear from you off-forum. You can send me an email at Bubsterx1 at gmail.com Thanks a lot.

Bill DeShivs is who I would seek out. I would post a direct link to his site but I'm afraid I'd be tied to the whipping post by the moderator/s. :p

Where are you located? If local, to Portland OR, we could do it.

What is the material on the bottom brown knife? If like to see the whole knife if possible, looks cool except id maybe grind off that slot on the pommel....😜

BusterX1,
Filling out your profile would allow folks to know if you are in Virginia, the Virgin Islands, or Venice. Also, you are a registered member, and no one can contact you directly. Post an email or other contact so folks can ger with you about your request. Direct sales talk is not allowed in Shop talk.

Bill DeShivs is the king of rehandling and rebuilding folders and autos. Hec isn't cheap. Many others could rehandle those fixed blade knives. Good luck.

I'll leave this in Shop talk for a while before transferring it to Knifemaker Services Wanted.

Hi Stacy,
Per your suggestion, I updated my profile to show that I'm in DC. Also, I did list an email in my original post above. It's Bubsterx1 at gmail dot c0m.

Thanks alot for allowing my post, which I tried to frame within the parameters of an email that you sent me back on June 12 (and which I very much appreciated).

Thanks for updating your profile. Now that I see you are in DC, I know you are just up the road from me. If I wasn't booked up with things to do until spring, I would be glad to do it, but I am sure that many others here will offer some help at a better time frame.
