Suggestions for a new benchmade ?

thx of the opinions guys. let me throw out one last thing. any opinions on a non- assist opening benchmade under 150$

That's a good start. Do you also have a preference in locking mechanism? or blade length?

I think a good place to start with benchmade is a Griptilian.
It has Noryl GTX handles, which is a type of polymer. "kind of" like G-10.
The nice thing about the griptilian is that it comes in a couple different blade styles, you can choose the 550HG which has a thumb hole instead of a stud.
There are many different colours to choose from and there is even a mini-grip if its too big for you.
Also the price is great. Its one of the best EDC's for the money.

I would also second a griptilian, but I prefer the mini grip over the full size. Its very similar in size to the mini barrage but despite the scales I think its a better knife.

But few Benchmades hold a candle to the 710 with M390 steel. I'm a believer. And let's face it, there's a reason its been around for so long. Its kinda funny actually that an older design like the 710 can still be not just relevant, but world class in the M390 configuration. Hold one, buy one and send it back if you don't like it, but give it a chance to work for you. A 4" blade of super steel with and thin g10 handle with steel liners thicker than most blades and a proven ambidextrous lock. Did I mention how smooth it is? Never thought such a large knife would flick open with such little effort. I was doubtful before I bought it, but I'm glad I did. Its wonderful and I would put it up against ANY production knife out there.

I have 6 now but I'm looking to buy another one. For my specific criteria, which is mostly a blade beyond 3" and a keen point, I am looking at the 710, 890, 913 and 943.
