Suggestions for a smallish EDC dressy folder

Hi All-

As my work situation is changing, I'm finding that sometimes my PM2 is a little much in size and agressive in look. So, I'm looking at more formal looking small folders.

To me that means:

3"-ish blade. Could go a little bigger or smaller.
Metal handles - I'm really digging the Ti framelocks, but that is my aesthetic, I agree not everyone's...
Simple, clean, classic lines in handle and bladeshape. A strongish tip would be an advantage, but don't need to go crazy in that direction.
Should be thin and carry fairly deeply if possible.
Flippers preferred over thumb-studs, but that alone will not make the decision. Often I'm wearing a pair of light gloves so I find that thumbstuds are a little harder to operate in that mode that the large hole of the PM2 or a flipper.

I've got a working list below, but I'm wondering what I'm missing. Suggestions from the group, please!!

ZT 450 - Don't love the shape, but ticks all the boxes.
ZT 808 - Like the shape better than the 450, but looks sort of thick in the handle.
CRK Seb 21 - Classy for sure.
Southard Avo - Getting to be on the large side, but boy do I like the cut of its jib.
Defiant7 Kumu - Looks pretty good to me, ticks a lot of boxes, not a lot of reviews and comparisons out there though.

The midtechs on the list I will likely need to chase in the secondary market to make the pricepoint. I don't have a strict budget, but if I spend much over $250-$300 I'll be afraid to carry and use it. I'm still in the shop enough to cut real things in real situations and my knife has contacted other metal and dirt before trying to cut stuff in difficult access situations. The knife must work. I won't be battoning firewood or prying open a safe with it, but it will get used.

Thanks a lot for all of the help on this! I'm pretty new here, but have already learned and seen a ton!

Best,
Gus

A. G. Russell does a "Gent's Folder" in Ti and VG10 that about the size of a small Sebenza, but priced at about 1/3 of the small plain Sebenza. The Mantra has already been mentioned and I'd give it a look. You might try the ZT 0900. The 808 is a bit thick. I handled one the other day. Benchmade has a couple of offerings coming in 2016 that are in your size/material range. Check their 2016 catalog that was posted in their subforum a day or so back. Viper also has a 3" blade Ti flipper (Kyomi, IIRC) that might be close to what you're lookin' for.

I picked up a lionsteel tre in cf that you may look at and they also offer the same flipper in g-10 thats less than 200.They are 3' m390 blade, the machining is unbelievable and very light to carry.

Benchmade 707? Been carrying one since 2010 - not as comfortable for hard use than it looks, but i like it a lot :)

Mantra 2 gets my vote, seems like it would be perfect for you, ti framelock, flipper, smaller than a pm2, & a spyderco.

GPKNIVES has the Bradford guardian 3 flipper for $275. It's a titanium/framelock/flipper with a M390 blade.

Kizer lineup is definitely worth giving a look
Quite a few Ti framelocks and flippers at affordable, in a bunch of clean designs....

I got my TRE G10 a couple of weeks ago and I'm loving it. It ticks all your boxes except for deep carry clip. I carry mine clip-less on my back pocket and it disappears.

Other option is a Buck Mayo TNT. Its been discontinued for some years but you can find a new one at a decent price (I just bought one for under $200 after a two month search) if you are patient. The blade is a little larger than the TRE's but the knife is thinner overall. The clip isn't deep-carry either but its carries pretty deep (tip down/right hand only, though).

Of course, a Carbon Fiber Small Sebenza (Insingo is my favorite for urban EDC) tops them all but its twice the price.

look at the William Henry EDC series. I have a E6-1 and love it.

Thanks so much for the suggestions folks! When I pull the trigger I'll be sure to update.

Spyderco Chaparral, can be had in CF, Ti, and Milled Ti. Not a flipper, but dang good gentleman's carry. If you can get over the looks of CF (personally I love it), I'm hooked on the Positron.

Your ZT options are amazing in every way. For super thin and light, it's the 450.

For a modern I would pick an mcusta small or a mnandi. I've also carried the Bradley air, too weird for me as well as the Ti and regular UKPK's the latter were awesome edc's.

I really dig traditionals for edc myself though.
