Suggestions for first Spyderco?

Assuming by now that u have made the decision - ??

I was in the same position - and IMHO it all depends on what catches your eye ( at that particular point in time ! ) and what feels comfortable - both in the hand and in carrying.

Must agree with the big jump though - I took the long path - native - matriach - military ( all in just under two months ) - the millie is superb, although the others are also super.
 
Endura if you don't want to spend too much money. If you want to spend a little more get the Military.
 
I've posted this elsewhere, but here are some Spydercos to compare.

Top to bottom: Military, Delica, Dragonfly, and Ladybug with Photon light.

I had an Endura, which is larger than teh Delica but smaller than the Military, but it jumped out of my pocket somewhere.

For a first Spydie, I would go with the Delica. Small enough for easy carry, but cuts big. The Military takes up a lot of pocket space, and is a little costy.

Apologies for pic quality. I don't think you can go wrong with the Delica TBH but I truly believe you won't be disappointed with ANY plain edge Spydie...

Still deciding, or waiting for a delivery? I think all of us would love to congratulate you whatever you end up with :D
