Suggestions for small locking pocket knife

The 705 is definetly a nice knife. I slid that one in my pocket and it was just too heavy though.

Any thoughts on the ascent? Other suggestions?

I was having a hard time deciding between the Ascent and Spyderco's Delica. Based on recommendations from other members I got the Delica, and I am extremely satisfied.

I recommend this knife without reservation. It weighs only 1.7 oz (I believe), has an ATS-55 blade, and of course the Spydie holes for quick blade deployment.

Gotta love it!!

2" blade? Gotta be a California Mini Auto.

I think the Ascent is a good knife. It seems that forumites are a little hard on it, but mine has performed well and is about to be retired. You said you wanted something light with a 2" or so blade. The Ascent is very light, but the smallest model has a 3" blade. I personally think the 3" model is a bit too small and would recommend the 3.5" if you really want an Ascent.

If you truely desire a high quality 2" knife, then Spydercp is the way to go. The Navigator fits your bill perfectly, as someone else mentioned previously. You might be able to find one for just under $50 if you shop around, although the suggested retail is around $75 I believe.

I would recommend the Spyderco Dragonfly. I got one recently and find it fits my daily carry needs perfectly. I have the stainless grip model but it is available in carbon fiber and in fiberglass reinforced nylon resin. Mine has a plain edge that is easy to keep shaving sharp. The lock is solid and the blade has no play in the open position. It flicks open with one hand effortlessly. Best "little" knife I ever owned.
