It doesn't look all that big and, although a bit odd looking with that finger placement before the Spyderhole, the blade does not have the more weaponlike character of, say, the Police or the Military. The scales are decidedly for a right hander as there are olive wood insets on the side w/o the clip and the side w/the clip has a laser cut Spyder logo in it. I have found it to be a very good dress-up knife. It is not quite as friendly looking as, say, a blue BM 921 Switchback, but it is decidedly not "tactical" in appearance and it is clear that it was never intended to be so.
