Suggestions on maintenance

I have never used them, but they have angle guides. For anything from stones to angle guides for grinders(if you use low temp knife grinding stones). Seems like angle guides for stones, or spend a little more and get a lansky or other guided system. Some are not so expensive.

Can't recommend any, I have never used any of those items myself, just seen around. I just go free hand. I did use someones Spyderco sharpmaker and that worked pretty decent, only one degree angle though

Let me recommend the DMT Aligner clamp system. It's dirt cheap ($12 for the clamp without stones, and you can use it with your current stones,) quite a nice selection of angles, works VERY well with pocket folders, and and fast and easy to use. If you chose to get their stone set, be sure to include their ultra-coarse and ultra-fine stones as well.

The DMT Aligner clamp really shows its worth when used with wet/dry sandpaper followed by polishing films. Mirror finishes (if that is your wish) in a matter of minutes while watching a ball game on TV. It doesn't get much more fool-proof than this!

I might be missing something. How can OP use the DmT aligner clamp with his current stones?

The DMT looks a bit like the Lansky system in that it would need a certain stone holder. Or can it be used with stones designed for freehand sharpening?

The first Spyderco sharpeners only came with one angle for sharpening. For many years now they come with two. 30 and 40 degrees inclusive.

This is what DMT demonstrates...

I have only owned cheaper knives, and i am planning on buying a Benchmade APB Assist. I have good oil, but i only have Allen wrenches. I use stones to sharpen, so my knives end up with convex edges. Could anyone suggest some tools and sharpening system to keep the flat grind, thank you for any help.

Personally I'd grab a dMt 8x3 dias harp in coarse and a knives plus strop block and a sharpie. Do your own maintenence ,if you screw it up send it to Benchmade life's harp or one of our sharpening guys here to reestablish that factory bevel.

More mirror polishes ,you could buy yourself some stones (plenty threads on that ). Or send it out to someone on here for a mirror edge . A spyderco UF bench stone and the strop will keep that edge maintained .

As far as torxs drivers go I've tried kobalt ,husky, craftsman . The little husky set at home Depot has been good to me and it's cheap .

If you plan on taking a lot of knives apart or have the cash the wiha is the best .
